C'mon, the strip started in 1954, which would make baby Trixie 54.
In which case, her parents are old enough to know better. : )
I like how their rear-view mirror is placed apparently behind and to the side of the front seat.
Check out Hi's sunglasses. It looks like he has a Viewmaster taped to his face.
Not to mention Lois' seat belt goes from left to right when it should be the other way around.
The best part is that Lois's seat belt is painted on her shirt.
That's not a seat belt, that's her purse. She's not wearing a seat belt. The kid's belt is attached to the child seat, which is wedged between her and dad.
Is Hi holding the steering wheel in his lap? Are they in a big go-cart, perhaps?
