Today, at the European Parliament in Brussels, the Quatuor Girard and Clémence Poussin performed Elaine Fine’s arrangement of a Maurice Ravel setting of the Kaddish, originally for voice and piano. The performance marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27). Video available here.
What an honor for Elaine, aka Musical Assumptions, aka my spouse.

Most notable, most exquisite.
Blessings to Elaine for being part of this.
And say, Amen.
That's marvelous!
Thanks, everybody! Ravel and the musicians deserve the most praise. I made the arrangement 12 or 13 years ago to play at a Holocaust memorial service in Champaign, IL. Ravel’s music went into the public domain last year, so I was able to put this arrangement into the IMSLP, where people can download it for free. I’m glad these people looked there for it!
I'm glad too, Elaine. Thanks for arranging it and thanks, Michael, for the post and the clip. Lovely.
