I haven't started Infinite Jest yet, but this quote brings it to mind.
I am a digressive sort myself... :)
I remember some college classes for the digressions — a story about self-consciousness and the use of “dress shields,” a diatribe against Andy Warhol. The anti-Warholian was a history prof whose son was taking the class. But I digress.
