Too bad they can't be photo'd.
This quote from Baldwin reminds me of your other post this morning--("finding out what you don’t want to know")--the landlord killing a six-year-old and stabbing the child's mother because he hated Muslims:
"When you’re writing, you’re trying to find out something which you don’t know.
The whole language of writing for me is finding out what you don’t want to know,
what you don’t want to find out.
But something forces you to anyway."
Oh yeah. Writing — and reading — to find out.
