A few minutes ago the chyron announced “humanity’s return to the moon.” It was smart to avoid man. But consider: other than human beings, who would be in a position to go back?
“A return to the moon” would be better.

Wait a moment. As I recall, a cow jumped over the the moon. Surely that must count for something.

No. The cow merely went around the moon in preparation for future bovine lunar missions.
It makes perfect sense, you see, as the moon is made of green cheese and cows give milk.
The big question is if contact can be made with Gidney and Cloud.

I suppose that careful preparation notwithstanding, the bits and piece from Earth that have already landed must have taken a whole raft full micro-organisms and general creepy-crawlies with them :) hard not to take you biome with you when you go a-travelling
