Kids are born little lawyers, always looking for the edge, the advantage. When we were young, our family had these rich friends, a well-off family. We kids would say, WELL, some families open their presents on Christmas eve. Our parents would say, we open our presents on Christmas. We would say, can't we just open one present? Our parents would say, sure, you can open the presents from [the rich family]. {Curses, thought we] This family gave us pajamas one year, and slippers the next, alternatively.
