Sociologist Zygmunt Bauman is defending himself against charges of plagiarism, saying that “obedience to technical procedural rules of quotations” has nothing to do with the quality of scholarship.
Bauman might better defend himself by taking his cue from Uncle Leo.

Does this fall under "How NOT to email your professor"?
I guess, yes, don’t plagiarize. But in this case, he is the professor.
Agreed. I was trying to kid about how a grad student shouldn't email a professor about said professor's plagiarism. :)
Oh — got it. Yes, the hierarchy of academia makes doing so a no-no.
