The fiftieth anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs & Freedom, the occasion of that speech, was August 28, 2013.

Deb Amlen made the same mistake on WordPlay. I pointed out that it was MLK, Jr.'s birthday, but that thoughts of him inevitably bring us to remember his most famous speech.
Sure, and anyone can make this kind of mistake. But on the news!
