It was the only item of its kind in the freezer case. Do you see what’s wrong? If so, you’re a smarter shopper than I was. But I won’t get fooled again.
If you see what’s wrong, or if you don’t, please leave a comment. I want to keep some mystery in the post itself.

1. They look more like biscuits.
2. "Seafood" crab cakes. So su-r-imi.
3. Size: compared to the lemon wedges, they look more like crab nuggets. (Maybe not such a bad finger food, 'crab nuggets.')
4. I'm hungry now.
Surimi: yes, or something along those lines. The first ingredient listed on the package: “fish protein.” My eyes went right past SEAFOOD to Crab Cakes.
Nice pun, by the way.
I'm sure I would have made the same mistake in the supermarket, but since you pointed out that something was amiss, I paused and thought the presence of "seafood" was suspicious. It reminds me of "processed cheese food product" singles that masquerade as actual cheese.
Also, "surimi" is a new word for me. Now I just need to figure out the correct pronunciation and how to drop is casually into conversation.
Notice that I left Seafood off the post title. But I’m not a great magician (no gift for misdirection).
I was surprised to see surimi in Merriam-Webster online. If you figure out how to drop it into a conversation, let me know. :)
