I prefer pronouncing this as a word, so I choose acronym. Plus pronouncing a word is easier on the ears than simply spelling something out.
It seems to me that if your representative is a Republican, then you could still write. They need to know their constituents are not a monolithic block. ... History tells us that eventually people stopped believing Senator McCarthy.
I called yesterday, both Illinois senators and my representative, Mary Miller. Alas, her district is a monolithic block (she ran unopposed in 2024), created by the state legislature to corral lots of Republican votes in one very large district. But her office still gets to hear from me.
I admire (and enjoy hearing about) your dogged practice of writing to Mary Miller.
If only she’d write back. Mary, speak to me!
