From George Bodmer’s Oscar’s Day: “Pluto in His Cups.”
Note to Pluto: You are big . It’s the idea of what counts as a planet that got small.
I am a total third-grader when it comes to Pluto. The brave planet has been the subject of several OCA posts.

Growing up on Disney cartoons and animated movies (are they the same thing?), Pluto the dog was one of my favorite characters. (I liked Donald Duck more than Mickey, too.) So I figured the planet had been named after the dog for a long time. Didn't know about the Roman god of the same name until I was in 5th or 6th grade.
If I were a planet, I'd rather be named after a much-loved cartoon character than Lord of the Underworld.
And Pluto IS a planet!
“Venus” at one time meant to me only pencils . Live and learn!
Neil deGrasse Tyson and Stephen Colbert Geek out over Pluto.

Thanks, Zhoen. I can’t wait to watch this. I will have to though. (I’m updating an iPhone, which is going to take forever, or longer). On NBC last night, Lester Holt was talking with Tyson, who seemed friendlier to Pluto than in the past.
That was fun. Their pronunciation of Charon surprised me until I understood the story behind it. Too bad though that they guy who discovered that moon never took a course in Greek myth. :)
