I too have noticed what Jon Brooks describes: For Cinephiles, Netflix Is Less and Less an Option (KQED Arts). I have forty-six DVDs saved with availability ”unknown.”
Something Brooks doesn’t mention: a college or university library can be an excellent source for films. Public schools often extend borrowing privileges to their communities.

Been waiting for a copy of Don't Look Now for quite a while... I think they don't really have it. And that's not super-obscure.
I noticed several months ago that many movies weren't available and then read they'd lost the rights to them and that they were focusing less on the the types of movies/shows I would want to watch. I don't have much time so should cancel. But don't.
