Someone in the comments said the man on the aisle was a young Mel Brooks.
I think that’s right. There does seem to be something funny going on there — he’s not just another audience member.
I just realized that Howard Morris (Uncle Goopy) played Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show.
