“Twenty years is a long time”

Heard while flipping channels this afternoon: Whoopi Goldberg on Oprah, speaking of the show’s longevity:

“Twenty years is a long time. It’s like a quarter of a century.”
But it’s exactly like . . .

Or is it not even the done thing to answer as it is that obvious?

Oh of course it’s the done thing. I think there’s often great value in stating the obvious. I was tempted to post WG’s words with no comment, but I wasn’t sure if the joke would come through, so I was kinda stating the obvious too.
