Michael, this post, "In Search Of Lost Sound" (the milk bottles, specifically) and your post on "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" prompts this movie recommendation: "The Clock" starring Judy Garland and Robert Walker.
The scene in the Manhattan cafeteria with the staring nearby diner is worth the price of admission alone.
They don't make 'em like this anymore!
