“I’m still here but yet I’m gone”: Glen Campbell’s “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” is a powerful song. To my mind it belongs in the company of the Beach Boys’ “’Til I Die” and Johnny Cash’s recording of Trent Reznor’s “Hurt”: existential statements, all.

Yes, and I'm reminded also of Warren Zevon's "Keep Me In Your Heart."
People keep telling me about Glen Campbell's dementia but I hadn't seen him yet, so thanks for posting it.
So good to hear from *inside* someone with the disease instead of all the clinical descriptions from the outside.
Brutal... in a good (honest, true) way.
