Facebook CEO likes paper, pens

Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg, talking with the New York Times:

“I probably shouldn’t admit this since I work in the tech industry, but I still prefer reading paper books. (In Lean In , I also admit that I carry a notebook and pen around to keep track of my to-do list, which, at Facebook, is like carrying around a stone tablet and chisel.)”

  2. I happened across Maurice Sendak's comment on e-books recently, and it seems apt here:

"I hate them. It’s like making believe there’s another kind of sex. There isn’t another kind of sex. There isn’t another kind of book. A book is a book is a book. I know that’s terribly old-fashioned. I’m old, and when I’m gone they’ll probably try to make my books on all these things, but I’m going to fight it like hell. [Pauses] I can’t believe I’ve turned into a typical old man. I can’t believe it. I was young just minutes ago."

  3. That’s a wonderful comment.

I just looked at Amazon: none of his books are available for the Kindle.
