Elaine has been tidying, so much so that I have joked that our house is becoming a Kondo-minium. But not everything is tidy, not yet. This end table, for instance.

  1. Marie Kondo, as you can guess, is more than a little extreme in her devotion to tidying up.

I’m very curious about the book she credits as an inspiration, Nagisa Tatsumi’s The Art of Discarding , not yet translated into English. A whole book about throwing stuff away!

  3. I'm just trying to work it out, Michael. Would that be Triomphe stationery? And is that a Moleskine I see before my eyes?

  4. Yes, it’s a pad of Clairefontaine. No Moleskine in the photo though. There is a little THINK notebook (an IBM promotional item, which was being made long before the ThinkPad).
