I can't help but think, Willie, of this Edward Gorey limerick (though I'm typing from memory, so forgive any small error):
There was a young lady whose stammer
Was atrocious and so was her grammar.
Things did not improve
When her husband was moved
To knock out her teeth with a hammer.
Actually, Michael, I think it's quite acceptable if idiomatic usage.
Hmm. I posted this one just for the mystery of it: What is "that"? And in what way is "he" "the reason"? Is "he" a salesman giving someone a deal? A maker of knock-off designer dresses? Sam Walton?
