Marking blue books for 100+ students is a grim chore, unless one can farm out the work to competent PhD students. When a student appeals a failing grade, the appeal is more likely to fail if the failing grade was grounded in MC assessment. <br /><br />Most students tolerate MC exams because they are easier.
