I don’t think I’ve ever seen italics in a Stumper clue, and sometimes quotation marks blur the difference between a title and words as words. An example: “‘Don Juan’ for all time.” Is “Don Juan” a nickame, or the title of Byron’s poem? The answer was EER (<i>ever</i> contracted), so I think the clue must refer to the poem.Michael Leddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05547732736861224886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343608.post-85484627869885226542022-01-01T14:16:20.643-06:002022-01-01T14:16:20.643-06:00That’d be a great answer for that clue, truly Stum...That’d be a great answer for that clue, truly Stumpery.Michael Leddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05547732736861224886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343608.post-12769387474255899392022-01-01T13:51:00.611-06:002022-01-01T13:51:00.611-06:00For "Much of the 'OED'" I saw th...For "Much of the 'OED'" I saw the quotes and put VOWELS :(joecabhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16862252671814767307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343608.post-29626709152336568532022-01-01T09:30:01.876-06:002022-01-01T09:30:01.876-06:00MMXXII.
