Sunny intervals

That’s BBC weather.

American weatherpersons often speak of “intervals of sun.” “Sunny intervals” sounds brighter and more cheerful. I’d like sunny intervals, soon.

When I read your headline ('Sunny Intervals') I thought you were going to write about major thirds.
And yes, we could use some sunny intervals up here in Wisconsin too!

We need major thirds too. I once named this kind of day a Cmaj7#4.

Ah, but is the BBC Weather itself a sunny interval?

Michael Leddy said...

Only occasionally, I guess.

Then the BBC isn't doing it's job properly. I would petition for the re-introduction of Michael Fish.

For anyone who‘s curious, Wikipedia has it covered: Michael Fish.

Heh. Sorry - I assumed anyone blogging about BBC weather would know their most infamous weatherman.

I’m a relative newcomer. But I thought someone else might be wondering about Mr. Fish too.
